The Culinary Institute of America Athletics
CIA is one of the few culinary schools with a top-quality athletics program featuring two co-ed teams. In addition to offering great physical training, CIA sports also give you the opportunity to strengthen leadership and team building skills, time management, and self-discipline.
Our team name—the Steels (named after the tool used to sharpen knives)—represents the dedication and concentration of CIA student-athletes. As they sharpen their skills on the court or in the field, they also cultivate a strong work ethic, determination, and sense of team pride that serves them well throughout their careers.
